Design and Sales Assistant

Dytham Jewellery Designers are looking to hire a designer and sales assistant to join their small team to cover maternity leave. The position would be temporarily for a year but a permanent contract may be considered in the future.

This role would be ideal for a recent graduate or colleague leaver. We would also consider a University placement student for the right candidate.

We require someone to work 5 days a week, Monday - Saturday. Saturday working is essential with a day off in the week.


  • Design background

  • A good listener

  • Be able to communicate ideas through hand sketching

  • Be highly organised and have an excellent attention to detail

  • Enthusiastic

  • Basic knowledge of photoshop, lightroom, in-design and illustrator

  • Be self-motivated and able to work well within a team

  • Have experience with Excel/Word

  • Have an ability to work within a fast paced environment

Ideal but not essential

  • Knowledge of CAD, specifically Matrix, Rhino or Jewel Cad.

  • Knowledge of bespoke jewellery


  • Responding to sales enquiries via telephone, email, online and in-person

  • Face to face consultations with clients to guide them through our bespoke design process

  • Photographing and packaging jewellery ready for clients

  • Communicating with suppliers about specific customer requests

  • Providing an excellent level of customer service

  • Design jewellery to be sold in our shop

  • Keep our online presence up to date, online shop, website, social media

  • Maintaining the look and feel of the shop
